Our story

It started with one bite at a Christmas party

How a first taste at 17 became a hawker stall in Simpang Bedok in 2007, and the Halal-certified pies we deliver across Singapore today.

    One bite at a Christmas party

    Teddy tasted shepherd’s pie for the first time at a Christmas party, when he was 17, and loved it. When he got married, he asked his wife to make it at least once a month.

  2. 2006

    No one delivered it

    One day in 2006, Teddy asked for his shepherd’s pie, but his wife was too tired to make it. So they looked online for a shepherd’s pie delivery. There wasn’t one, and that’s how the idea began.

  3. Nov 2007

    A hawker stall in Simpang Bedok

    The Shepherd’s Pie opened at a hawker stall in Simpang Bedok, with four flavours: Chicken Classic, Chicken Black Pepper, Beef Classic and Beef Black Pepper.

    The recipes came from home cooking, adapted for cooking in large batches.

  4. 2008

    Halal-certified

    Our pies became Halal-certified in 2008, and we haven’t missed a renewal since.

  5. 2009

    Our kitchen in Bedok North

    We moved from Simpang Bedok to Shimei East Kitchen in Bedok North. It’s still our kitchen today, and where you collect your order.

  6. 2012

  7. Today

    Eight flavours

    The first four flavours have grown to eight, with Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Rendang, Lamb Special and VIP, our plant-based pie for vegans and vegetarians. Every one is Halal-certified, and comes baked warm or frozen, delivered across Singapore or ready to collect.
